Abstract
A Study was undertaken to determine the length of time serum of ¥â-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin (¥â-hCG) could be detected following removal of ectopic pregnancy. The disappearance pattern of ¥â-hCG was almost equal in complete removal of trophoblastic tissue and in conservative surgical treatment. The initial hCG titer is the most significant factor determining the length of time in which positive titers will be detected.
